Name: Aquila Markets
Website: aquila-markets.com
Aquila Markets has drawn the attention of multiple regulators worldwide, with repeated warnings highlighting concerns over its legitimacy and lack of proper oversight. While the platform advertises itself as a trusted broker offering access to global markets, the available evidence suggests otherwise.
In April 2025, Sweden’s financial regulator Finansinspektionen (FI) issued a public warning against Aquila Markets, raising doubts not only about its authorization but even its existence as a genuine company. FI typically only takes such steps when strong concerns exist about fraud or impersonation.
The situation is further complicated by Aquila Markets’ past association with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Records now show that the firm has lost its FCA authorization. This is a serious red flag: without FCA oversight, investors lose access to compensation and dispute-resolution protections that normally apply in the UK.
Canadian regulators have also taken notice. The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), via the British Columbia Securities Commission, included Aquila Markets in its investor alerts. This indicates that Canadian authorities consider the firm a high-risk entity.
Independent broker review sites reinforce these concerns. BrokerChooser lists Aquila Markets as unsafe, while BrokersView explicitly labels it “FRAUD,” referencing the Swedish FI warning. Other watchdogs such as ReportFraud.net have flagged user reports of blocked withdrawals, vanishing support, and hidden fees.
Operational red flags also stand out. Aquila Markets claims a London base at 20 Water St., but no trace of the company exists in the FCA registry. The website domain was only registered in August 2024, suggesting a very short operational history. Transparency is lacking, ownership details are hidden, and reports of withheld funds align with patterns typical of scam brokers.
Bottom line: With multiple regulator warnings, no verifiable licensing, and consistent reports of withdrawal problems, Aquila Markets cannot be considered safe. Any money deposited here is at significant risk, and investors should exercise extreme caution.
aquila-markets.com is rated 1 out of 5 stars on Broker Review, based on major reviews.
